I am a well-seasoned addiction recovery expert with 25 years of experience, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of the intricate processes involved in overcoming addiction. Holding certifications in leadership and management (Level 5) and health and social care NVQ (Level 3), I bring a strong foundation to my work. As a trained group facilitator, I employ evidence-based approaches to empower individuals to break free from the grip of addiction through empathetic guidance. Drawing from my own personal experience of overcoming addiction, I'm passionate about helping others discover freedom, healing, and restoration. My mission is to support individuals in shattering the cycle of addiction and uncovering a brighter future filled with hope and promise. With my expertise and compassion, I empower individuals to reclaim their lives and achieve lasting recovery.

Hi, I am a passionate and energetic, project manager with over 20 years of lived experience, I bring a unique perspective to the table, having experienced the issues of addiction I am now an advocate for recovery and mental health. Through my own journey, I have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of empathy, compassion, and effective communication in overcoming addiction and achieving a more fulfilling and productive life.

As a former addict and Army veteran, I've gained valuable insights and experiences that have shaped my passion for helping others. I joined Adam Outreach Project as a volunteer in November 2020 and progressed to become a full-time support worker. With a Level 2 Safeguarding qualification, Care Certificate, and Level 2 NVQ apprenticeship in Adult Health Care, I'm equipped to provide compassionate care to residents. As a Christian, I draw strength from my faith and am honoured to share my personal story with residents, inspiring hope and motivation for their own journeys. My ultimate goal is to empower residents to overcome their challenges and thrive in their communities.

As a certified coach and mentor at Harmony House, I focus on building trust and meaningful connections, guiding residents through a holistic recovery process that addresses the whole person, not just the problem. Together, we create a personal plan and road map that empowers sustained, meaningful change. Whether you’re navigating addiction recovery or seeking greater well-being, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist

With 25 years of lived experience in addiction and six years in recovery, my journey led me to train as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I am now dedicated to supporting self-development in those on their own recovery journey. Beyond personal counselling and groupwork, I also foster reconnection and self-expression through poetry and music workshops. As a long-term poetry workshop facilitator, I understand the power of creative expression in recovery and am committed to helping others find their voice and build a fulfilling life.

Through this, I've developed a strong passion for supporting others on their path to recovery and sharing hope that freedom from addiction is possible.  I'm currently studying towards my NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care, and at Harmony House my goal is to help create a safe, supportive and happy environment for all clients.

My name is Tom, and I’m a support worker at Harmony House with a deep personal connection to the work I do. After nearly 20 years in active addiction, I began my recovery journey in 2021—and everything changed. Through the 12-step program, I not only found freedom from addiction but also discovered a calling to help others break free and rebuild their lives.

In 2024, I came to faith in Christ—a turning point that brought a profound sense of peace, purpose, and identity. Today, I’m passionate about walking alongside individuals from all backgrounds, offering hope, understanding, and lived insight.

Recovery is possible, and I’m here to support others as they find their way toward healing and the life they were meant to live.

Nicky is the Administrator at Harmony House, where she plays a key role in maintaining a calm, structured, and supportive environment for both residents and staff. With strong organisational and communication skills, she ensures the effective day-to-day coordination of the service, enabling the wider team to focus on delivering high-quality care.

Drawing on her lived experience of addiction, Nicky brings a compassionate and informed perspective to her role. She understands the challenges and uncertainties that can accompany the early stages of recovery and is able to offer reassurance, empathy, and appropriate support to those beginning their journey.
